Hi there! I’m Kristine — the heart (and many hats) behind The Cozy Bean Sprout. I started this space to share the joys, challenges, and everyday discoveries that come with juggling life as a working mom, wife, home cook, gardener, DIY-er, and lover of all things cozy.
The “Bean” in The Cozy Bean Sprout is my daughter, my sweet little muse who inspires most of what I do. Alongside her is Mighty, our pit mix with a heart just as big as his paws. Between toddler toys, dog hair, and sourdough crumbs, our house is rarely spotless—but it’s full of love, laughter, and plenty of learning moments.
My Happy Places: Kitchen, Garden, and Home
You’ll most often find me in the kitchen, where my love of cooking has evolved into a full-blown sourdough obsession. My starter, Victoria (aka Vicky)—a descendant of one that traveled all the way from France—is my bubbly little sidekick and proof (pun intended) that great things take time. I’m a big fan of gadgets that actually make life easier (and not just fill drawers).
When I’m not baking, I’m probably in the garden—sometimes thriving, sometimes just surviving—but always learning. Whether it’s coaxing flowers to bloom or figuring out what not to plant next to tomatoes, I love sharing both the wins and the whoopsies.
